Many people use Lenovo X315 Gaming Desktop and give positive like this reviews :I have always built my own computers from scratch and never buy pre-assembled computers; one obvious reason is it gives you more flexibility and all the pieces that you want without any surprises; it can usually be a better value/price if you are patient with deals on each parts, but it will delay in your building process. Time is also money.
Unless you are rich, it's not ideal to buy top-of-the-line parts because in the computer world, things usually change fast. Advantage of a pre-assembled is convenience - you just plug it in and you're ready to go - but often times they can use inferior parts, don't allow any room to upgrade/modify in the future, and it usually includes lots of bloatware (although you can also do a fresh install of the operating system). The Lenovo X315 has some room to upgrade and some quality main components as it is marketed as a "gaming" (basically anything media/video heavy demand) desktop.
When I first saw pictures of the Lenovo X315, it immediately reminded me like it was something from Alienware. I mean this is marketed as a gaming rig. Although this may have an Alienware-esque look, thankfully, the price doesn't share being overly overpriced like them.
When I first opened this up, I was surprised how the case was smaller and lighter than I imagined because gaming rigs are usually monster size. It's also quiet! I love how quiet it is
